Why Choose Ramblers?
Ramblers is Queensland’s largest and longest established skydiving operation. We have been teaching people to jump out of perfectly good aeroplanes since 1972. We love it and we would love to take you too!
Ramblers is a family business, run by two generations of the McEvoy family – Chief Instructor Dave and his daughter Susie, together with her husband Wayne. Between the three of us we have over 27,000 jumps and 75 years skydiving experience, countless National records & medals in nearly every aspect of the sport plus Dave has won a Silver & Bronze World Championship medal - we are dedicated and passionate about the sport!
Our Mission is to give you the Greatest Possible Skydiving Experience, EVER! You will be treated like the VIP that you are.
Susie is also the Editor and Publisher of the Australian Skydiver Magazine, which is the Flagship Publication of the Australian Parachute Federation. Susie is also the brainchild and organiser of the world's only female skydiving convention, Skysisters. The third convention was held in April 2011.
With the “Old School” and the “New School” combined, Ramblers is undoubtedly Australia’s most progressive parachuting and skydiving organisation – a leader in nearly every skydiving aspect, that has set the standard for other drop zones to aspire to. Ramblers have trained many skydiving instructors, other drop zone operators and Chief Instructors plus competitors and even world champions!
Ramblers has two fabulous drop zones: Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast with a fabulous new Clubhouse on the Sunshine Coast Airport and a country club style Skydiving Resort located at country Toogoolawah, north west of Brisbane, which was established in 1979 - built by skydivers for skydivers. Wayne and Susie have also recently purchased Skydive Rainbow Beach near Fraser Island on the Cooloola Coast.
