If you are looking for something that you will remember for the rest of your life, something that will excite you so much you will scream so the world can hear you, something that will make you want more and more then a skydive is for you.
Located on the grounds of the Sunshine Coast Airport sits the headquarters of Skydive Ramblers, and the starting point of an extremely great moment in your life. Once here you will be greeted with handshakes, smiles and introduced to the guys and girls who will show what you have been missing out on.Firstly you will be asked to fill out certain forms for insurance and medical reasons, this is so that the team know you are able to do the jump. You will then be politely put in your harness whilst your instructor will clearly explain what will happen during your forthcoming experience.
The instructors here have years of experience and have jumped thousands of times, though even with this knowledge a skydive can still be a terrifying prospect for some. However at Ramblers you will be made to feel at ease at every point, the instructors will make you feel comfortable, often joking. In fact it is a surprise that none of them are stand-up comics and so in this atmosphere you will not even think that you are about to throw yourself out of a plane.
After a very short journey to the runway you will enter the plane, this is where the instructors will go through the easy to follow procedures once again. The plane will then glide for twenty minutes up to your desired height, though it is strongly recommended that you choose 14,000ft.
During the joy flight you will observe the wonderful landscape looking over the Hinterland to the Glass House Mountains and up to Noosa and beyond. Again during the flight your instructor will make interesting conversation and will reassure you if you seem a little quiet. Once the plane has reached the height that you will jump from the door will swing open. You will be hit by a wall of fresh air and thought of "what am I doing?" but still you follow the procedures as planned and you are thrown out of the plane.
Falling, you quickly gather speed up to 200km/h, you take in everything at once, sensory overload commences but you feel everything. If you jumped from 14,000 then you will free-fall for over a minute speeding towards planet Earth, suddenly nothing matters, nothing ever did but you are not scared, the feeling is indescribable, only experience able.
The parachute opens, you fall slowly, almost as if you are not falling at all, now you take in the world, it's amazing from here, you've never seen it like this. At this point some laugh, some cry, some remain speechless, the instructor reassures you again and makes the harness more comfortable for the glide back. You glide down softly to the music of the wind and the waves crashing on Coolum Beach.
The holiday makers look up to see you floating down caressing the sand as you land, it's the best way to make an entrance anywhere. Once landed the Ramblers team will unhook you and you can gather your thoughts looking out to sea or with the person you jumped with.
Soon after you will be taken back to Ramblers headquarters where again you will be treated with the same degree of respect and smiles as before. Here you may wait watching yourself on one of the television screens as you wait for your CD of pictures and DVD movie. When you leave, you will relive every moment again and again and you will understand why skydiving is number one on everyone's list.
Do something amazing, skydive with Skydive Ramblers.

Hi Team,

Hi Team,
August 2011
Splash and the Crew,
Friday morning was awesome and it's something I'll never forget. Jumping out of a perfectly good plane in tandem was more than just an adrenaline rush it's a mind blowing experience. It's boosted my confidence and I now see the world through different eyes. After having your senses supercharged in free-fall at 200km/h the world around me appears regimental and mundane. I can see a recipe for addiction as I preach to the converted.
Creating such a mind blowing experience is not to be taken likely and has it obviously has inherit risks. I felt completely safe and your professionalism is a testament to your industry. It simply kicks arse.
Splash has nerves of steel but I think he is still scared of the water. I have something for him which might help releave his anxiety every time he falls from the sky over that blue wet stuff that covers most of the earths surface. I'll drop into Coolum sometime during the week while I have a beer and reminisce at the seen on the crime and say G'day.
Until then, stay safe and be good.
Regards
Kyle

Hi Susie,
Dear Susan,
Dear Darren,
Hello Marios,
Ash Renzo
Special thanks also to the team at Ramblers Coolum Beach for getting me through my first four tandem jumps... Love your experience and professionalism as well as your mentoring!
OK, so five tandems so far with five different tandem masters. I'm sure you have a few more lurking in the wings, as it were...
You guys and gals ROCK!

Thank you so much for another great jump today. Totally awesome!
Wayne - our second tandem and it was a cracker. Thanks for having the faith in me to let me practise my first course jump, practise some turns, deploy and then fly the canopy. And I'll bet that you were relieved that I pulled the right thing... Your tutelage, mentoring and friendship is greatly appreciated.
Susie and Marios - You seriously ROCK!!! Thanks for jumping with Wayne and I, that was an amazing surprise and I am honoured that you did that. While driving home I'm sure that Marion was fed up with me saying "that was fecking awesome" over and over again...
And Susie it was our first jump together... And you were there as part of my second roundie! Yahoo... I'm sure that there will be many more in the future. Thanks for what has been an amazing journey to date. I am positive that there won't be any other students doing the AFF course who can say they have done a couple of roundies up at Coolum Beach, including one with Susie Mc... That has to afford me the "Ooooh" factor for sure...
And Marios, thank you my friend! Though I see a pattern forming here. Six jumps now and you have been in the plane with me on three occasions and doing a roundie with me on two of those jumps. Love your enthusiasm, skill and raw energy... I'm sure we'll get to jump again, especially after I finish my B-Rels...
And Faye, bring on October 3! I am so happy that we will be going through the course together... I'm 100% sure that you are looking forward to it as much as I am (Also hope that you finish work and get home before midnight tonight...)!
Finally, it was great to meet John and Mark today and also catch up with Splash, Daz, Ben, Macca and Adam. Please pass on my thanks and best wishes to all for what has been one Hell of a ride...
Thanks again team...

Thank you so much for giving me the best experience I have ever had. There aren’t enough words to express the thrill of it and how awesome it was. I also loved the extra bit of roller coaster riding you gave me. I really want to thank you all for getting me in on Sunday, it was so beautiful with the sun shining.
If I have my way you will all definitely be seeing me again and if I could somehow win the lotto then I would love to do a course.........maybe one day that will happen!
Anyways, thanks again so much. I haven’t stopped telling anyone who will listen (even people I don’t know) that they should get out there and try it. It is one experience in my life I will never forget and will be itching to do it again.
Cheers,
Lisa

We checked the pics/dvds, which work perfectly and we also already copied them to make sure the memory and evidence of the 1st jump last! You should have seen the looks on the faces of the family when we showed them the video tonight, awesome!
I really hope the Equinox Festival works out well and that you have an incredible time.
Tell me about the night jumps and other stuff, or post something on facebook!
Keep jumping safely,
